Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to close office at Buckingham Palace - CNN

CNN understands that the couple no longer needs an office at the Queen's main London residence since stepping back from their roles as senior members of the royal family.
While details are still being finalized, and efforts are being made to redeploy people within the royal household, there will be some redundancies.
British media are interpreting the office's closure as an inevitable step for the couple as they embark on a new life outside the UK.
Last month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex chose to give up their royal titles, eschew some state funding and return the Sovereign Grant funds they spent to renovate their official residence in Windsor Castle.

The couple, who left for Canada with their son Archie after the royal exit announcement, are also working to become financially independent.
They have a strong connection to the North American country. Meghan lived in there for seven years while she worked as an actress on "Suits."
Harry and Meghan have said they plan to spend more time in North America, but have not provided specifics on where they'll settle.
One of the ways the couple hopes to generate income is through their brand "Sussex Royal."
However an aide to the Queen warned the Duke and Duchess of Sussex against using that title, reported British newspaper The Times.
"I don't think it's satisfactory. One cannot be two things at once. You either are [royal] or you're not," said Thomas Woodcock, Garter King of Arms, in the paper. Woodcock said he was speaking in a personal capacity.
"It is such unusual times that it is a matter of waiting and seeing how things develop," he added.

'Sonic the Hedgehog' star Jim Carrey addresses initial trailer backlash: It 'turned out to be a great thing' - Fox News

When the first trailer for "Sonic the Hedgehog" dropped last year, it immediately became clear that the studio had more work to do.

Fans took to social media to criticize the trailer, slamming the CGI work done to create a live-action version of the classic video game character.

Shortly after the trailer's release, the film's director, Jeff Fowler, promised that the film's graphics would be touched up.

Now, with the film being released Friday, the cast has responded to the initial backlash in an exclusive interview with Fox News.

Jim Carrey, who stars as Dr. Ivo Robotnik, said that the backlash "turned out to be a great thing."

"It turned out to be a co-op where everybody was in on the creation," said Carrey, 58. "I think everybody felt good about it ultimately because [director] Jeff Fowler [had] no ego involved at all. He just went, 'These people grew up with it, and it's important to them that we get it right.' And I think it was just a much better movie because of it."

The "Bruce Almighty" star also said that he doesn't create characters "based on what people are saying," but that he also felt elements of the film weren't "quite in the pocket" until being reworked.

"It was my concern, as well," he admitted. "It turned out fantastic."

'BIRDS OF PREY' STAR MARGOT ROBBIE ON WHAT MAKES HARLEY QUINN UNIQUE: 'SHE DEFIES SOCIAL NORMS IN EVERY WAY'

James Marsden felt that fans getting riled up about the character they loved was a good thing.

"I got to sort of watch all that unfold and it put a massive smile on my face because I was like, that is the fan base, that is the passionate fan base who care and wanted to be right and wanted to feel good," he said about the initial criticism. "... You want to make everybody happy and get it right."

The actor, 46, called the negative reaction "a barometer for the intensity and the passion of the fans."

Ben Schwartz, the voice of the titular speedster, also said the backlash signified the unwavering popularity of the character.

"We had no idea if anybody even cared about the property," said Schwartz, 38. "When that trailer came out, the idea that all of these people were so passionate and cared so much and had ideas was this huge rush to us because like, 'Oh, we have something special here. We can make this so special' and stuff like that. So it was almost like an energetic boost for us to be like, 'Okay, we're on a nice little course now, let's figure this out.'"

"Sonic the Hedgehog" is playing in theaters now.

'Masked Singer' kicks off legendary singer in surprise elimination - CNN

Monster performed a rendition of Lesley Gore's "You Don't Own Me," and her hairstylist gave a clue as to who was behind the mask, calling her a "spiritual mom" who hasn't always been portrayed the right way in public.
"Miss Monster has been through a lot, and she hasn't always been seen in the press for who she really is," her hairstylist said.
The panel made guesses like Mary J. Blige, Dolly Parton, Dionne Warwick, Gloria Gaynor and Queen Latifah, but Miss Monster was ultimately revealed to be Chaka Khan, whose hits include "Ain't Nobody," "I'm Every Woman" and "I Feel for You."
The singer was voted off, but Khan called her time on the show liberating "because I could do what I wanted" while sporting a mask.
"The Masked Singer" host Nick Cannon reveals Chaka Khan as the voice under the Miss Monster mask.
"It was great fun, and it was very different. I'm glad that I had a nice little stay and we did well," she said.
Panelist Nicole Scherzinger tweeted that she couldn't believe such a legend had taken the stage.
As for the other masked singers, Turtle sang "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back" by Shawn Mendes, White Tiger sang Queen's "We Will Rock You," and Kangaroo sang Rihanna's "Diamonds."

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are expecting their 1st child - Today.com

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are about to become parents!

The Jonas Brothers singer, 30, and the "Game of Thrones" star, 23, are expecting their first child, according to E! News.

The newlyweds tied the knot twice in 2019. They first got hitched in early May in a surprise wedding ceremony in Las Vegas after the Billboard Music Awards. The couple said "I do" at Chapel L’Amour inside A Little White Wedding Chapel — and in true Vegas fashion, an Elvis impersonator performed the ceremony.

Jonas' musical brothers, Nick and Kevin, acted as his groomsmen.

The second time the couple wed, it was a far more traditional affair. The pair walked down the aisle in late June in an elegant ceremony at Chateau de Tourreau in the south of France, surrounded by their family and friends.

Turner and Jonas got engaged in October 2017 and celebrated by posting matching photos captioned “She said yes” and “I said yes” on their respective Instagram pages.

The couple began dating in 2016 but waited until January 2017 to go public with their love. Since then, they've shared frequent photos from their happy life together on social media.

And now they're starting a family! Congratulations, Sophie and Joe!

Snoop Dogg apologizes to Gayle King after slamming her Kobe Bryant interview - Fox News

Snoop Dogg has apologized to Gayle King.

The rapper took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a video apology, and to invite the journalist to "sit down and talk" with him following his criticism of her asking WNBA star Lisa Leslie about Kobe Bryant's sexual assault case.

"Top of the morning! Big Snoop Dogg coming at you live and direct with a message," the 48-year-old rapper said in the video. "Two wrongs don't make no right. When you're wrong, you gotta fix it."

He then directly addressed King.

"So with that being said: Gayle King, I publicly tore you down by coming at you in a derogatory manner based off of emotions... Me being angry at questions that you asked," said Snoop Dogg. "[I] Overreacted. Should have handled it way different than that. I was raised better than that. So I would like to apologize to you publicly for the language that I used and calling you out of your name and just being disrespectful."

He continued: "I didn't mean for it to be like that. I was just expressing myself for a friend that wasn't here to defend himself. A lot of people look up to me and they love me and they appreciate me, so I want to let them know that anytime you mess up, it's OK to fix it, it's OK to man up and say that you're wrong. I apologize. Hopefully, we can sit down and talk privately. Have a good day."

JIM CARREY CRITICIZED FOR 'UNACCEPTABLE' REMARKS ABOUT FEMALE JOURNALIST BEING ON HIS 'BUCKET LIST'

The caption of the video read: "Had a talk with my momma thank u mamma. 2 wrongs don’t make it right time to heal. @gayleking Peace n love Praying for u and your family as well as Vanessa and the kids."

The controversy began after video emerged of King asking Leslie during a "CBS This Morning" interview: “It’s been said that [Bryant's] legacy is complicated because of a sexual assault charge, which was dismissed in 2003, 2004. Is it complicated for you as a woman, as a WNBA player?”

Gayle King was criticized by rapper Snoop Dogg, who posted a profanity-filled video attacking the anchor.

The case was dismissed after Bryant’s 19-year-old accuser refused to testify on Sept. 1, 2004. He later released a public apology acknowledging while he believed the pair had consensual sex, he understands that was not the way she viewed the incident, Yahoo reported. She later brought civil charges against the Lakers star, which was settled out of court for an undisclosed sum.

In an Instagram video posted after King's interview, Snoop Dogg, a longtime friend of the deceased basketball star, said “We expect more from you Gayle. Respect the family and back off, b----, before we come get you.”

Snoop insisted that his comment was not a threat.

“Here’s a message for the people that need to know,” he said in another video clip posted to Instagram. “I’m a non-violent person. When I said what I said, I spoke for the people who felt like Gayle was very disrespectful towards Kobe Bryant and his family.”

“Now, with that being said, do I look like I would want any harm to come to a 70-year-old woman? I was raised way better than that. I don’t want to harm to come to her and I didn’t threaten her. All I did was said, ‘Check it out: you outta pocket for what you’re doing and we’re watching you. Have a little bit more respect for Vanessa, her babies, and Kobe Bryant’s legacy,'” he said.
