President Donald Trump treated as the nerd among the NATO cool kids in 'Saturday Night Live' cold open - CNN

Trump, played by Alec Baldwin, was the nerd in SNL's NATO high school cafeteria, playing on the actual drama taking place at the NATO summit this year.
Jimmy Fallon, Paul Rudd and James Corden all made cameos as the "cool kids" Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Baldwin's Trump desperately wants a seat at the table where there's an obvious open seat, but the cool kids don't want him at the table.
"I'm Boris' friend, right Boris?" Baldwin's Trump says.
"Don't make this harder than it is," Corden's Boris responds trying to play it cool in front of Fallon's Trudeau and Rudd's Macron.
US President Donald Trump (Alec Baldwin) wonders why he can't sit with the cool kids of NATO in the "Saturday Night Live" cold open on Saturday, December 7, 2019.
They compliment Trump as he stands in front of him, but talk behind his back as he walks away.
"He's like dumber than Boris," Fallon's Trudeau says.
Baldwin's Trump then realizes he's sitting at the losers table.
"Oh my God I'm at the loser table. I can't believe they made me sit with the foreign kid," Trump says.
He returns to the table asking, yet again, about the open seat, but the cool kids say it's taken by German Chancellor Angela Merkel (Kate McKinnon).
"Am I actually about to sit at the cool kids table?" McKinnon's Merkel says in disbelief.
Corden's Boris then puts a sign on the back of Baldwin's Trump that reads: "Impeach Me!!!"
The frame then freezes as First Lady Melania Trump (Cecily Strong) steps in to give a PSA about bullying.
"Bullying is a serious problem, especially against President Trump," she says. "It's not nice, he would never do it to you. So please, European leaders Be Best."
Saturday's show was hosted by Jennifer Lopez.

The Peloton actress has traded a bike for a cocktail in new Ryan Reynolds commercial - CNN

When last we saw her, she was celebrating her yearlong fitness journey and thanking her husband for giving her an exercise bike for Christmas. Both the bike and the husband were nowhere to be found on Friday.
In a video posted to his Twitter, Actor Ryan Reynolds seemed to poke fun at the recent controversy around an ad for Peloton, the indoor bike start-up. The video, a commercial for his Aviation Gin brand of distilled spirits, opens with the woman now dubbed "the Peloton woman" staring blankly at the camera while out with two girlfriends before they toast to "new beginnings."
The caption: "Exercise bike not included."
Peloton has recently come under fire for a holiday commercial showing a woman documenting her year with the Peloton bike her husband gave her for Christmas. Critics have pointed to the ad's purported sexism and deafness to the privilege of its subjects. Some have said the woman appears to be pressured to work out by a husband who gifted her an exercise machine unprompted.
"We constantly hear from our members how their lives have been meaningfully and positively impacted after purchasing or being gifted a Peloton Bike or Tread, often in ways that surprise them," a Peloton spokesperson said in a statement to CNN. "Our holiday spot was created to that fitness and wellness journey."
In Reynold's commercial, the same actress is initially seen staring, expressionless.
She comes out of her daze and tells the two friends around her that the gin she is drinking is smooth.
The friends look concerned about her, one offering to get her another drink and the other telling her "You're safe here."
She toasts to new beginnings before downing her drink and taking the second offered to her.
"You look great, by the way," a friend tells her.

Ryan Reynolds Helps the Peloton Wife Escape Her Bleak Existence - Vulture

Going from a punishing workout routine to a punishing number of martinis? Sounds like an American Woman’s Christmas to us! Social media went nuts over Peloton’s recent holiday-themed commercial “The Gift That Gives Back,” in which an anxious-looking woman thanks her husband profusely for giving her one of the brand’s exercise bikes, a present around which her entire life now revolves in a way that, to some, felt sexist. “I didn’t realize how much this would change me,” the woman, heretofore called Peloton Wife, says in the ad. “Thank you.” Well, if that commercial bummed you out, get ready, because this new parody spot from Ryan Reynolds’ Aviation Gin catches up with (a character that is obviously) Peloton Wife in what seems to be the aftermath of her marriage’s end.

“You’re safe here,” her friend tells her in the spoof. “To new beginnings,” our newly bike-free protagonist replies. “Exercise bike not included,” Reynolds tweeted along with the commercial. However, despite being an ad, no one in the spot looks particular happy to be staring down the barrel of a gin-soaked, post-split hang. “This is going to be a fun night,” her other friend sighs with dread. Well, hey, at least all those martinis are cheaper than a $2,245 exercise bike, right?

'The Irishman' US viewership data on Netflix: Nielsen - Business Insider

  • 3.9 million unique viewers in the US watched Netflix's "The Irishman" in its first day of release, according to Nielsen.
  • But just 18% of viewers actually completed the movie on its first day.
  • 17.1 million unique US viewers watched the movie over its first five days, Nielsen said.
  • Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.

It appears that the three-and-a-half-hour runtime of Netflix's "The Irishman" was a tad too much for a large chunk of viewers — at least at one sitting.

3.9 million unique US viewers tuned in for Martin Scorsese's new Netflix crime drama on its first day of release on November 27, with an average minute audience of 2.6 million viewers, according to Nielsen. But just 750,000 viewers, or 18%, actually completed the movie on its first day.

That might sound like a low number, but it's on par with Netflix's hit thriller "Bird Box" (18%) and higher than its "Breaking Bad" movie, "El Camino" (11%), which are both two hours in length.

17.1 million unique viewers in the US watched "The Irishman" over its first five days of release, from November 27 to December 1, according to Nielsen.

Nielsen's numbers are only based on US viewership and Netflix has yet to reveal any global stats for "The Irishman." Netflix counts a view if an account finishes at least 70% of the movie, meaning viewers would have to watch at least two and a half hours of "The Irishman."

"The Irishman" sparked debate after the Thanksgiving holiday about whether it had any significant impact on the lackluster Thanksgiving US box office, which was down 16% this year. But the likelihood of that is low, as the box office has been down all year. A more likely answer for the decrease is that there weren't any new blockbuster releases over the holiday weekend.
