Boarding Group Needed to Ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance on... - wdwnt.com

This post may contain affiliate links; please read the disclosure for more information.

If you plan on going out to experience it, no matter if you’re partial to the Light side or the Dark side, entering a virtual queue is required to help reduce your time in line. This will give you more time to enjoy the rest of the theme park.

For those going to Disney’s Hollywood Studios today, the first step is to make sure you download the My Disney Experience app if you don’t already have it. Once you enter the park, open the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge section and go to “Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – Access by Boarding Group.” Click on “Find Out More.” The next screen will share the current boarding status of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. If boarding groups are available, you may be able to tap “Join Boarding Group.” There will also be a display indicating which boarding group may now enter the attraction.

Additional information about virtual queue:

  • If “Join a Boarding Group” is grayed out, that means the boarding groups are full for the day and are no longer available.
  • As long as your My Disney Experience account is linked to park tickets for you and the others in your group, you’ll be able to enroll everyone in the virtual queue at the same time.
  • Make sure push notifications are turned on for My Disney Experience so you will be alerted if your boarding group is called to return.
  • You’ll have up to two hours from the time of the alert to go to the entrance of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, so there’s no need to rush right over. Once there, you can expect to wait and spend some time getting immersed in the story and soaking in the rich details before experiencing the attraction.
  • Please note that joining a boarding group does not guarantee the ability to experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

If you have any questions or need a hand with the virtual queue, the members of the Guest Experience Team are available throughout the park to assist.

Justin Timberlake Shares Statement Apologizing For Holding Alisha Wainwright’s Hand - Stereogum

A couple of weeks ago, Justin Timberlake, who has been married to actress Jessica Biel since 2012, was photographed at a bar in New Orleans holding hands with Alisha Wainwright, his costar in the upcoming movie Palmer. And now, he’s gone all Notes app on us, issuing a statement on Instagram apologizing to his wife and family while clarifying that nothing unseemly actually happened.

“A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgment — but let me be clear — nothing happened between me and my costar,” Timberlake wrote. “I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior. I should have known better. This is not the example I want to set for my son. I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be.”

A “source with direct knowledge of the incident” recently told People that Timberlake and Wainwright’s interactions were “completely innocent…It’s a balcony with a group of people and it was definitely nothing happening. He’s down there shooting Palmer, they’re starring in the movie together and they’re cool and everybody was just hanging out.”

Read Timberlake’s full statement below. According to our fearless leader and Justin Timberlake apology connoisseur Scott Lapatine, this is one of the great Timberlake apologies — better than his apology for commenting on Jesse Williams’ BET Awards speech, but not as good as his apology for using Take Back The Night as a song title.

I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family I feel it is important to address recent rumors that are hurting the people I love.

A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgment — but let me be clear — nothing happened between me and my costar. I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior. I should have known better. This is not the example I want to set for my son. I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that. I am incredibly proud to be working on Palmer. Looking forward to continuing to make this movie and excited for people to see it.

Taylor Swift Documentary 'Miss Americana' to Open Sundance Film Festival - Billboard

Taylor Swift is ready to give people a glimpse into her life in her upcoming Netflix original documentary Taylor Swift: Miss Americana, set to debut at the Sundance Film Festival on Jan. 23, 2020, the streaming service announced Wednesday.

The new doc, directed by Emmy winner Lana Wilson and produced by Academy Award winner Morgan Nevill, is described as a "raw and emotionally revealing look at one of the most iconic artists of our time." Throughout the documentary, the audience will get an inside look at the singer's "transformational period in her life as she learns to embrace her role not only as a songwriter and performer, but as a woman harnessing the full power of her voice."

Academy Award winner Morgan Neville (Won’t You Be My Neighbor?), Academy Award winner Caitrin Rogers (20 Feet From Stardom, The Music of Strangers), and Christine O’Malley (Wordplay, I.O.U.S.A.) will serve as producers. The documentary is a Tremolo Production.

News of the documentary arrives weeks after Swift spoke out against Big Machine Label Group founder Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun, alleging that they declined the use of her older music and performance footage for the Netflix documentary, a project that had yet to be announced at the time. "There is no mention of either of them or Big Machine Records anywhere in the film," Swift noted at the time. She had also added that Braun and Borchetta had both refused to allow her to perform her catalog of songs for her performance at the American Music Awards where she received the Artist of the Decade Award.

Taking to Twitter last month to explain "what's been going on," Swift revealed that she originally planned to perform a medley of her hits onstage, but Borchetta and Braun "claim that would be re-recording my music before I'm allowed to next year."

Swift then shared that Borchetta informed her team that she can use her music only if she agrees to their conditions, which include that she may "not re-record copycat versions" of her songs next year and to "stop talking about him and Scooter Braun." Though the singer's ex-record label offered a licensing deal, granting Swift permission to perform her catalog onstage, the circumstances surrounding the usage of her music in the upcoming documentary continue to remain unknown.

Swift made a subtle reference to the recent drama while opening her AMA's performance by singing "The Man." Seemingly making a statement, the singer dressed in a white outfit that featured the names of her six previous studio albums in black block lettering — replicating that of a prison uniform and font. Swift was then joined by young girls donning the same white outfit with her album titles while dancing alongside her. Swift continued her performance by singing her hit songs, "Love Story," "I Knew You Were Trouble," "Blank Space," "Shake it Off" and "Lover."

Despite the drama surrounding her catalog of music, Swift has had quite the successful year. The singer released her seventh album, Lover in August — the album features a song titled "Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince," similar to the title of the Netflix documentary — was recently named one of People Magazine's People of the Year and is set to star in the upcoming film adaptation of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, Cats, set to hit theaters Dec. 20.

The singer is recognized as one of the most successful female artists after debuting as a country music singer at the age of 15 before transitioning to the pop genre. Known for being notoriously private — the singer has been quietly dating The Favourite actor Joe Alwyn for three years — the documentary will mark the first time the singer will offer an inside glimpse into her life, which she hinted during her AMA's acceptance speech has been rather difficult in the past year.

"The last year of my life has had some of the most amazing times and also some of the hardest things I've gone through in my life. Not a lot of them are things that haven't been public," Swift said during her third acceptance speech of the night.

The documentary will also arrive shortly after the singer's 30th birthday on Dec. 13.

Taylor Swift: Miss Americana will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on Jan. 23, 2020 and will be released globally on Netflix early next year. The documentary joins a female-powered lineup for the festival, announced Wednesday.

Princess Anne Refuses To Greet Donald Trump At NATO Reception & Twitter Is Living For It — Watch - Hollywood Life

The Internet is raving over Princess Anne after she refused to be part of the receiving line when Donald Trump arrived at Buckingham Palace on Dec. 3. However, Anne’s mom, Queen Elizabeth, was NOT happy — and it was all caught on video.

Queen Elizabeth hosted leaders from around the world at Buckingham Palace for a reception in honor of the 70th anniversary of NATO, and Donald Trump and Melania Trump were in attendance. The Queen greeted her guests in a receiving line, and was joined by her son, Prince Charles, and his wife, Duchess Camila, as the Trumps entered. All three of them greeted the President and First Lady, but noticeably missing from the line was the Queen’s daughter, Princess Anne. Anne was standing to the side, and did not come forward to greet the Trumps.

In a video of Donald and Melania’s entrance, Queen Elizabeth could be seen gesturing at Anne to join her, but Anne simply turned away and refused! The Queen looked visibly frustrated, but of course, there was nothing she could do in the moment. Oh, to be a fly on the wall for the conversation afterward, though! The video of Princess Anne ignoring Donald Trump quickly went viral on social media, and Twitter users flooded their feeds with comments of praise for the royal.

“Princess Anne not giving a single f*** about Tump should make everyone smile,” one person wrote. Another added, “Who can blame Princess Anne for laughing at and wanting to avoid Donald Trump,” while someone else gushed, “Princess Anne owning season three of The Crown and now owning Trump’s palace visit is definitely not something I saw coming in 2019.”

However, some people also pointed out the double standard regarding the compliments Princess Anne has been receiving, as they claimed that Meghan Markle would be criticized if she had reacted the same way. “Y’all remember how Meghan was bashed for being ‘too political’ and called NASTY for comments she made about Trump before she was even a royal?” someone asked. “I’m pretty sure that laughing at somebody and refusing to greet them is a political movement.” Another person pointed out, “I do recall Meghan being called all sorts of names, by the same people praising Anne, for not attending Trump’s state visit, although Meghan [was] on maternity leave at said time. The double standards here. Lmfao.” Watch the full video of Anne ignoring Trump above.

Did Queen Elizabeth Approve Prince Andrew's Disastrous Interview? - Showbiz Cheat Sheet

It has been a difficult few months for Prince Andrew, the favored son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. For weeks, the royal had been dodging questions about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender who died earlier this fall.

However, in a shockingly unprecedented move, Prince Andrew recently sat down with a British television crew to talk about his alleged friendship with Epstein, his role in Epstein’s crimes, and whether or not he has ever done anything improper with young women. The interview was shocking for several reasons, and many are questioning if the palace sanctioned the tell-all conversation.

Read on to learn about Prince Andrew‘s recent scandal, the BBC interview, and whether or not Queen Elizabeth granted him permission to give such an interview.

In August 2019, Jeffrey Epstein, the notorious sex offender, was found hanged to death in his jail cell. His death kick-started another round of inquiries into his crimes and those possibly associated with him.

Foremost among these was Prince Andrew, who reportedly had a twenty-year friendship with Epstein. Then, several young women came forward, accusing Prince Andrew of inappropriate behavior. Adding fuel to the fire was the fact that Prince Andrew could be seen in photographs with at least one of these women.

While Prince Andrew released a statement that proclaimed his innocence, and the palace seemed to be making a show of solidarity by going about business as usual, the general public wasn’t convinced. It all seemed a little too grimy, and Prince Andrew’s dismissal of his and Epstein’s friendship only continued to draw doubts.

What did Prince Andrew say in his interview?

In mid-November, Prince Andrew broke a longstanding royal family tradition of not talking to the press by sitting down for an intimate interview with BBC Newsnight. In the interview, Prince Andrew admitted that he was friends with Epstein, and that the two first met in 1991, but not “close friends.”

He also revealed that he would sometimes stay at Epstein’s estates when he was traveling but denied that he ever behaved inappropriately with the women accusing him. Furthermore, the royal declared that he had “no memory” of the incriminating photograph of him and one of his accusers ever being taken.

All in all, the interview did little to exonerate the royal, and to many, it only dug the hole that he is in even deeper. In fact, many news outlets blasted the interview as a disastrous public relations move for Prince Andrew, and equated the interview to a “train wreck.”

Various reports claimed that Prince Andrew came off as arrogant in the interview and that he seemed to have no empathy at all for Epstein’s victims.

Did the queen approve Prince Andrew’s interview?

After the interview was released and the reactions came flooding in, everyone started wondering how the palace (specifically, Queen Elizabeth) felt about it. Surprisingly, reports claim that Queen Elizabeth actually sanctioned the interview and was “on board” with Prince Andrew’s attempt to clear his name.

Only days after the interview, the royal family dropped another bombshell when Prince Andrew announced that he would be stepping back from his royal duties for the immediate future. In essence, he will no longer be considered a working royal and is not allowed to represent the royal family at events.

While it is difficult to foresee what the future holds for Prince Andrew, at this point, he seems to have accepted that the public finds his association with Jeffrey Epstein troubling.

Today is the birthday of Shawn Corey Carter. To celebrate his 50h, the artist better known as Jay Z has returned his entire music catalog to Spotify where he’s sure to cash in on this gift to subscribers. Jay Z owns the rival music streaming service Tidal.

Z’s solo work disappeared from both Apple and Spotify in April 2017, but was quickly restored to Apple Music — not so with Spotify. At the time, Spotify only said the removal was done “at the request of the artist.” Today the world’s most popular streaming service said, “Happy birthday, Hov Welcome back to Spotify.”

Without any official statement from Jay Z, we’re left wondering why now? What changed? How’s Bey?

Until then, why not jump back in and stream some of the master’s top tracks.
