Kylie Jenner And Khloé Kardashian Did 11 Shots, Tried To Do Their Makeup On YouTube, And The Results Are Wild - BuzzFeed

In her latest video, Kylie Jenner and Khloé Kardashian did a bunch of shots then tried to do their makeup using Kylie's new Birthday collection.

E!

I own zero companies and get excited when, like, two people like my tweets, but this is probably the most I've ever related to two of the world's most influential celebrities.

For those of you who don't have the patience to sit through a YouTube video, here's a summary:

Kylie starts the video with a promo of her new Birthday collection, and this cool bottle of Don Julio that Khloé got her for her 21st birthday.

Here's the money-themed collection.

This scene with Khloé chugging a handle of random vodka and chasing it with a Red Bull in the underground carpark of the Kylie Cosmetics office? Iconic.

Portrait of a millionaire Kardashian as a high school teenager hosting a secret party while her parents are out of town.

Like I said, relatable.

They start off with bare faces.

They get on the phone with Sofia Richie, who makes this very astute observation.

Khloé teaches Kylie how to "whoo-hoo" with her hand on the right side of her face.

At one point, they invite Malika Haqq, Khloé's best friend to join their video.

And their mom Kris.

Khloé takes more shots, and Kylie asks her, "Why would you leave it in your mouth that long?"

Kylie tries to get drunk Khloe to focus.

Oh yeah, and I guess some actual makeup application also happens.

Khloé does her 8th shot.

Kim calls.

...and Kanye says he misses them. (!)

Kris’ boyfriend Corey Gamble and Scott's girlfriend Sofia Richie also join.

This is Kylie's final look, BTW.

I'm sure it looked even better after 11 shots.

The end*!!

*You okay, Khloé ?!

Are the Days of Easy Growth Over for Netflix? - Market Realist

Netflix (NFLX) lost US subscribers for the first time ever last quarter. The company shed 130,000 US subscribers, whereas Wall Street had expected it would add 352,000. It also added fewer international subscribers than both it and Wall Street had expected.

However, Netflix’s troubles may have just begun. The Office and Friends, some of its most popular shows, are leaving Netflix and going to its rivals. The Office owner Comcast (CMCSA) and Friends owner AT&T (T) are taking the shows away to offer them on their own video services, which will compete with Netflix.

Not only is Netflix losing some of its most popular content, but is also coming under more competitive pressure. Walt Disney (DIS), which plans to launch its Disney+ video service this fall, is also pulling its content from Netflix. Furthermore, Disney has taken operational control of Hulu in a deal with Comcast. Hulu is currently Netflix’s top challenger in America, meaning Disney could take on Netflix from all sides. Disney’s purchase of Fox’s assets has added even more hit shows and movies to its library, supercharging its video service.

Rising content costs for Netflix

Netflix’s loss of popular content and the growing competition could affect it in many ways. First, the loss of popular content means additional pressure on the company to spend more on production to replace the shows leaving its platform. Variety reports the company spent $8.9 billion and $12 billion on content in 2017 and 2018, respectively, and analysts expect that spending to rise to $15 billion and $17.8 billion by 2020. Second, the company’s rising content costs could hurt its profitability.

But we should give credit where it is due. Netflix has pulled far ahead of challengers, and they could take years to match or surpass its subscriber base. The company finished the second quarter with over 150 million paying subscribers globally. In the face of escalating competition, it could also still raise prices—the company’s loyal customer base has granted it pricing power. Customers may be so loyal that they are willing to pay more to help the company produce even better shows and stay ahead of the game.

Game of Thrones writers sign a huge multiyear deal with Netflix - SFGate

Published

This article, Game of Thrones writers sign a huge multiyear deal with Netflix, originally appeared on CNET.com.

The two minds behind HBO's mega-hit turned mega-disappointment Game of Thrones, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, have struck a multiyear deal with Netflix , according to a report by Deadline on Wednesday. The duo will create exclusive content for the streaming giant outside their deal with Disney to direct an upcoming Star Wars trilogy.

D&D, as they've come to be known, were in high demand, with media giants Netflix, Amazon and Disney all in talks to secure their services. Netflix ultimately won out with sources telling the Hollywood Reporter the deal is worth $200 million and will include film and TV projects. The pair had spent over 10 years at HBO working on Game of Thrones .

In a joint statement, the pair said, "We've had a beautiful run with HBO for more than a decade and we're grateful to everyone there for always making us feel at home." They say they are "honored" Netflix has brought them on board.

"We are thrilled to welcome master storytellers David Benioff and Dan Weiss to Netflix," said Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos, in a statement. "They are a creative force and have delighted audiences worldwide with their epic storytelling. We can't wait to see what their imaginations will bring to our members."

A brief glance at the response to this new signing, on Twitter, isn't particularly kind to D&D. Some users balked at the signing just days after Netflix cancelled The OA.

The anger stems from a divisive final season of Thrones. Many fans have torched the Game of Thrones creators after they failed to stick the landing in the show's final year. Even though the public response was relatively brutal, the show managed to rack up 32 Emmy nominations this year.

Willie Nelson Cancels Tour due to ‘Breathing Problem’ - Rolling Stone

Willie Nelson has canceled the remainder of his current tour, citing health problems. The 86-year-old revealed the news following his show in Toledo, Ohio at the Huntington Center.

“I’m sorry to cancel my tour, but I have a breathing problem that I need to have my doctor check out,” Nelson wrote on social media, confirming, “I’ll be back.”

Nelson’s tour was set to run for 30 more shows, including a stop on Friday at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The trek, which features Alison Krauss opening many of the dates, was scheduled to wrap November 29th at the WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma. Nelson was also set to play at the Farm Aid concert September 21st alongside Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews and Bonnie Raitt.

The singer has dealt with several health issues over the past few years. Last summer he canceled his appearance at the Outlaw Music Festival due to illness, and was forced to cancel several tour dates earlier in 2018. In August 2017, Nelson stopped a concert in Salt Lake City early after dealing with respiratory issues. “I am sorry to have to cut the SLC show short tonight,” he wrote on Twitter. “The altitude got to me. I am feeling better now & headed for lower ground.” He also canceled several shows in early 2017.

Nelson’s most recent album, Ride Me Back Home, dropped in June.
