With Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge about to open to the public at Disneyland, fans planning to visit the planet of Batuu are also likely planning to part ways with a lot of their money. Galaxy’s Edge is loaded with new and exclusive merchandise that you won’t be able to find anywhere else (much of which you can take a peek at in our image gallery from visiting the park), ranging in price from a few dollars to a few hundred--and beyond, as we're about to explain.
For those with plenty of cash to burn, there are some very high-end items for you to browse. During a media preview event, GameSpot found the most expensive piece of merchandise for sale in the new land. For the low, low price of only $25,000, you can have your own custom R-series droid.
Whether you want a perfect replica of R2-D2 or some splashes of color, the design of the droid is up to you, if you’re willing to pay enough. You can customize the droid's paint job and parts--to an extent that wasn't clear yet during our sneak peek. You can even choose whether your droid will appear scuffed up and used, or shiny like it just arrived from the factory. The droid is functional, including sounds and lights, and controllable via remote. If you decide to pony up, it will be about 90 days from the time of order to your custom droid arriving at your front door, according to Disney.
Of course, there are also options for those that don’t want to spend quite that much.
You can also build your own smaller droids for $100, or purchase one that’s been pre-built, with the price depending on the droid in question. Speaking to GameSpot, Disneyland Resort Merchandise Strategy Manager Summer Bloomfield said that prices on droids start at $10.
Honestly, though, everyone should get the $25,000 option and then R2 units can rule the galaxy. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens at Disneyland on May 31, with Walt Disney World’s arriving on August 29.
Serena Williams has already jetted to London to meet Meghan Markle’s new baby Archie, it is understood.
The tennis champion, 37, is thought to have visited Windsor last week before heading to the French Open tournament, according to the Daily Mail.
Mom-of-one Serena was joined by husband Alexis Ohanian, 36, and their one-year-old daughter Olympia as they "visited Frogmore Cottage".
Fans were sent into overdrive after the seven-time champion posted a photo on her Instagram account of her posing in what appeared to be a regal stateroom in Windsor.
However, celebrity hairdresser Lorraine Dublin confused matters further by posting a near-identical photo of Serena, but tagged her in Paris.
One fan wrote: “Looks like you are somewhere in London maybe? Meeting baby Archie with Jessica?”
And another added: “Is this at Cousin Meg house?”
But some pointed out the room looks identical to Hôtel de la Vaupaliere in Paris.
One wrote: “I really don’t understand why you appear to be misleading people into believing these pictures were taken in a British Royal palace? Why not mention Hôtel de La Vaupalière?”
Buckingham Palace has been contacted for comment.
Serena is an old friend of Meghan’s, and the former actress even wrote of their first meeting on her now-defunct lifestyle blog The Tig.
Meghan, 37, described they were “taking pictures, laughing through the flag football game we were both playing and chatting not about tennis or acting but about good old fashioned girly stuff."
The Duchess also described how the pair "hit it off immediately" and from then on have continued to support each other through their chosen charity work and business ventures.
Ahead of Meghan Markle's appearance at Wimbledon in 2017, Serena said: "We have always supported each other, just been there for each other through a lot."
Serena even helped to plan Meghan’s swanky $377,000 baby shower in New York, and organized their stay at the luxury penthouse suite of the Mark Hotel.
Serena and her Reddit founder husband Alexis Ohanian were among the chosen guests at Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry in May 2018, and the athlete spoke of the special day during her interview.
She said: “To have such a monumental moment in England, nonetheless of all the places, I felt like we were literally watching history.
"I feel like in a few years we are going to look back at that moment and it's going to be so historic.
It's going to be something that people never forget."
But above all, Serena added: "I just wanted to see my friend be happy. And I think that's what happened."
Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born on May 6 and it is rumored that Meghan’s best friend Jessica Mulroney flew over with her family to visit the new royal.
Meghan Markle is ‘too good’ for the Royal Family and has ‘never put a foot wrong,’ claims PR guru.
We previously told how the Duchess "asked Lizzy Cundy to help find a famous British man" and "ghosted" her when Harry came along.

Prince Harry has always been viewed as the wild one in the royal family. That perception changed, however, after Harry married Meghan Markle, who reportedly changed him for the good. With Harry and Markle making a name for themselves within the ranks of the royal family, one inside source claims that some individuals within the monarchy are starting to view them as a threat.
Before Harry became a father, the Duke of Sussex got mixed up in a number of controversies. Back in 2012, for example, Harry played a game of strip pool in Las Vegas. Some media outlets got their hands on photos from the event, which did not go over well with other members of the royal family.
As if that wasn’t enough, Harry also embarrassed the monarchy when he rocked a Nazi outfit for a costume party. But with Prince William set to take the throne after Prince Charles, everyone excused Harry’s behavior and simply labeled him as a wild child.
Given Harry’s antics over the years, royal watchers did not expect him to settle down and start a family, let alone find someone as successful and strong-willed as Markle. Over the past year, Prince Harry has seemingly changed for the better, and inside sources claim that it is all because of Markle’s influence.
According to International Business Times, some members of the royal family are starting to see Harry and Markle as a real threat because they are beginning to outshine William and his wife, Kate Middleton.
Members of the royal family are not the only ones who have noticed Harry and Markle’s rise in popularity. Fans have also expressed their thoughts on how much Harry has changed since he met Markle, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. In fact, some fans recently took to Twitter to defend Harry’s maturity and praised him for being an amazing father and example.
“They needed Prince Harry to be ‘the wild one.’ The ‘damaged’ one. The minute he found a real relationship and set about being a dedicated husband, father, and charity leader, was the moment both he and Meghan became a threat to those rooted in his past,” one fan noted.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have enjoyed a lot of popularity ever since they started dating. Their wedding and subsequent pregnancy only boosted their popularity in the media, and an argument can be made that they are starting to outshine William and Middleton.
There is nothing wrong with Harry and Markle stealing some attention from the heir to the throne, but it is an issue if William and Middleton’s public image begins to suffer. After all, the royal family could use all of the positive attention they can get in order to remain relevant in the modern era.
Apart from meeting Markle, there is a good reason behind Harry’s lifestyle change. In a recent interview, Harry opened up about how he was forced to make a difficult decision in 2015 after Queen Elizabeth asked him to take on more duties as a working member of the royal family. At the time, Harry was still in the military and was finding it hard balancing his life as an officer with the family business. Harry eventually reached a crossroads where he had to choose between his military career and his place in the royal family.
In the end, Harry opted to quit his military career and pursue his life inside the ranks of the monarchy. Shortly after he left his job, Prince Harry met Markle and could not be happier with how everything worked out. But if he hadn’t decided against continuing his career in the military, there is a chance Harry’s life would have turned out completely different.
Harry is not the only one who was forced to undergo changes. Once her romance with Prince Harry started to get serious, Markle was reportedly asked to drop some of her friends, especially ones that had ties in the media world.
That includes British TV host Lizzie Cundy, who claims that Markle completely ghosted her a few months after she started dating Harry. Cundy also says that she tried to hook Markle up with some British men prior to Harry, including Ashley Cole.
Markle has not responded to Cundy’s comments.
Star Wars fans who had long dreamed about piloting the Millennium Falcon will now get that chance when the gates to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland finally open on Friday.
The centerpiece of the new theme park land is Han Solo's iconic ship, docked in the middle of the Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu. Here, not only will guests be able to take their picture with a massive replica of the iconic ship, measuring more than 100 feet long, they'll try their hand at flying it.

Groups of six will board the Falcon in Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, a new ride — a pilot, co-pilot, two gunners and two engineers. They must work together — flipping switches and pushing buttons — and how well they do so will determine if they return to port unscathed or with a few dents in the hull.
"When you can give people an immersive experience which is what Disneyland was designed to be in the first place but something that is as rich as this that heightens the whole experience for people in ways that I don't think we're ever imagined when we didn't have the resources of the technology," CEO Bob Iger told CNBC's Julia Boorstin Wednesday. "And so I think more than anything people are going to just be awestruck by how rich the experience here is."
A trailer released by Disney late Wednesday gives a glimpse of the ride and teases long-time fans of the sci-fi epic with shots of guests taking the iconic ship to lightspeed.
"I think Disney has done a fantastic job expanding their parks business, in general," Brett Harriss, discovery analyst at Gabelli Funds said on CNBC's "Squawk Box" Thursday.
"They're doing a great job using the immersive experience to drive engagement," he added.
Here's how fans who got a sneak peak of the new park ahead of its opening reacted to visiting Batuu:
The second ride in the park, Star Wars Rise of the Resistance, won't open until later this year.

Just a few hours after Arie Luyendyk Jr. . and Lauren Luyendyk welcomed their baby girl into the world, the new parents took to Instagram to reveal the little one's name.
"This was [the] first time she laid eyes on me, and I'm forever changed," the proud papa captioned a photo of his bundle of joy. "Alessi Ren Luyendyk."
The child was born Wednesday, May 29 at 2:09 p.m. local time. She weighed six pounds and 13 ounces at the time of arrival and measured in at 20 centimeters long.
"Mommy and baby are doing great," Arie wrote shortly after the birth. "We are so incredibly happy."
It looks like the couple is already head over heels for their daughter, too.
"She is sweet, calm and @ariejr, and I could not be more in love with her," Lauren wrote on Instagram alongside another adorable snapshot.
Fans had a feeling the little one was on the way after Arie and Lauren shared photos from the hospital.
"IT'S HAPPENING!" the former race car driver wrote on Instagram at the time.
In fact, the dynamic duo kept their fans updated throughout Lauren's entire pregnancy. From posting pictures from their Bermuda babymoon to sharing sweet snapshots from their baby shower, the two captured it all. Their firstborn even had her own Instagram account before she was born.
The reality stars announced the pregnancy news back in November.
It certainly has been a big time for the couple. After falling in love on season 22 of The Bachelor—and getting engaged during a dramatic "After the Final Rose" special—the couple tied the knot in January.
They aren't the only members of Bachelor Nation to grow their family. To seem more Bachelor babies, check out the gallery.
Congratulations to the happy family!
