It Chapter Two trailer: a grown-up Losers Club takes on Pennywise - Polygon

The first trailer for It Chapter Two is appropriately terrifying.

It Chapter Two is the follow up to 2017’s It, and is also based on the Stephen King novel of the same name. The first movie followed the first section of the book, focusing on the main characters as children, a ragtag gang known as The Losers’ Club.

The Losers’ Club returns in Chapter Two — but this time they’re all grown up. The sequel sports a stellar (and very on-point) cast, with James McAvoy as Bill, Jessica Chastain as Beverley, Jay Ryan as Ben, Bill Hader as Richie, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike, James Ransone as Eddie, and Andy Bean as Stan. Bill Skarsgård returns as Pennywise the Clown. The trailer fins Beverley returning to Derry, Maine and stumbling upon Pennywise’s origins. Also, a naked old lady.

The new movie takes place 27 years after the events of the first chapter, which took place in 1989. The original novel took place in 1957 and 1985, while the miniseries took place in 1960 and 1990.

It Chapter Two hits theaters on Sept. 6, 2019.

George Clooney will not be royal baby's godfather - CNN

The actor shares a birthday with "Baby Sussex" who is now officially Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
Clooney, who turned 58 on Monday, shot down rumors Wednesday he will stand as godfather to the latest member of the royal family.
"Everybody loves their rumors," the star of the new "Catch-22" miniseries told entertainment TV show "Extra." "It's not true."
The star and his wife, famed international attorney Amal Clooney, are the parents of twin toddlers set to turn 2 in a month, and it sounds like the actor already has his hands full.
"You don't want me to be a godparent of anybody," he said. "I'm barely a parent at this point. It's frightening."
The Clooneys are part of a circle of celebrity friends including Oprah WInfrey, Serena Williams, Priyanka Chopra and David and Victoria Beckham who attended last year's wedding of Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, who is now the Duchess of Sussex.

BBC radio host fired over racist royal baby tweet - CNN

On Wednesday, the BBC Radio 5 Live presenter tweeted a black and white photo of a man and woman holding hands with a chimpanzee in a suit and a top hat, with the caption, "Royal baby leaves hospital."
Amid widespread accusations of racism, Baker deleted the tweet and said he was sorry the "gag" had "whipped some up." He claimed the connotations had not occurred to him because his "mind (is) not diseased."
In a second message, Baker said that the tweet was "supposed to be a joke about Royals vs circus animals in posh clothes but interpreted as about monkeys & race, so rightly deleted. Royal watching not my forte." On Thursday, the broadcaster said he made an "enormous mistake."
A BBC spokesperson said: "This was a serious error of judgment and goes against the values we as a station aim to embody. Danny's a brilliant broadcaster but will no longer be presenting a weekly show with us."
Baker responded defiantly to the decision, saying on Twitter that the calls for his dismissal were a "masterclass in pompous faux-gravity" and that the BBC "literally threw me under the bus."
Prince Harry and Meghan's newborn son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, was born early on Monday morning. On Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex presented the baby, their first, to the world in front of selected media.
In a significant milestone for British society, the newborn has made history by becoming the first biracial child in the royal family.
Analysis: Don't use the royal birth to trot out a dangerous myth
Since the announcement of her pregnancy, Meghan has been a target of racist abuse across social media.
In March, Kensington Palace staff announced they would devote more resources to deleting comments targeting the Duchess of Sussex, and to blocking abusive Twitter and Instagram accounts. The royal household also issued a set of guidelines for people engaging with its social media channels.

Britney Spears gets restraining order against former friend - 10TV

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Britney Spears was granted a temporary restraining order Wednesday against a former confidante who she says has been harassing her family again.

A judge ordered 44-year-old Sam Lutfi, who has been in legal fights with the Spears family for a decade, to stay at least 200 yards from her, her parents and her two sons, who are 12 and 13.

The judge also ordered that he not contact or disparage anyone from the family.

The restraining order petition alleges Lutfi has been sending harassing and threatening texts to Spears' family and disparaging them on social media.

"Mr. Lutfi's actions have caused severe mental trauma at a time where Ms. Spears is recovering from stress related to her father's health and her work," the documents state. "Mr. Lutfi's unjustified interference in her life ... threaten Ms. Spears safety and well-being."

In January, Spears put her career on indefinite hiatus and delayed the start of a Las Vegas residency so she could focus on her ailing father.

Lutfi said he had not made contact with Spears since 2009, when a previous restraining order against him was granted to Spears.

"We are disappointed at the outcome," Lutfi's attorney Marc Gans said in a statement about the restraining order. "I think it is overly broad and violates Mr. Lutfi's constitutional rights."

The order was granted until a May 28 court hearing on the matter.

"This is a temporary order, and we look forward to coming back," Gains said.

Lutfi was a major presence in Spears' life at the height of her fame, and had claimed he was her manager in the years leading up to a public meltdown in 2008.

Her troubles led to the establishment of a court-ordered conservatorship, which allowed her father, Jamie, and attorneys to run her affairs and remains in effect a decade later. A court hearing on the arrangement is scheduled for Friday, and a judge ruled late Wednesday that a lawyer for Britney's mother and Jamie's ex-wife Lynne Spears could be part of the proceeding. Lynne Spears has not previously been involved in her daughter's conservatorship.

The restraining order granted Wednesday also alleged that Lutfi has sought to undermine the conservatorship.

Lutfi sued the Spears family in 2009, alleging Britney Spears had breached a contract with him, Jamie Spears had punched him and Lynne Spears had defamed him in a memoir.

A judge threw out the lawsuit in 2012, another judge later restored it on appeal, and it was settled in 2016.
